International Ostomy Association, an association of Ostomy
associations, is committed to the improvement of the
quality of life of Ostomates and those with related
surgeries, worldwide.
It
provides to its member associations, information and
management guidelines, helps to form new Ostomy
associations, and advocates on all related matters and
policies.
It is
organized to grow and develop while remaining independent
and financially viable.

World Meeting
Update
World Meeting:
We are pleased to announce that
the IOA World Meeting will be held at the Hotel
Monopol in Frankfurt.
The dates remain the same as
those booked for Bangkok being the 18th -20th
November 2010.
You are reminded that this is a
World Meeting, specifically for Member association
delegates and any observers.
There will be no workshops or
presentations just the meeting business.

At the IOA World Meeting the delegates will be
deciding the future direction for IOA. In order to
make it easy for you to see the proposed new
Constitution, we are posting a copy on the Website.
You will also find a copy of a communication called
“International Ostomy Association
Recommendations for the Future.” This document is a
summary of the proposed new IOA Constitution.
